History

I have lived all my life with dogs and farm animals. In 1985 I moved to a remote part of Lincolnshire and needed a guard dog that was good with children - enter the Doberman. I bought a 'show reject' bitch of 6 months old who was supposed to have dodgy teeth. I soon discovered there was nothing wrong with her teeth, so a friend encouraged me to show her. She was 2nd out of 4 first time out and I was hooked! I also did obedience with her until one day she took off after a rabbit between 2 cars. I waited 5 years to get another Doberman with the breeding I wanted.
The Roedeane affix was registered in 1990 and Roedeane had its first litter in 1992, using a complete outcross, and produced Ch Roedeane Adelheid JW, Hannah, in April 1992. By 1995 she was a Champion. I retired her with 3CCs and 3 reserve CCs! Hannah made her return to the ring in veteran classes which she loved. Sadly I lost her to Wobbler Syndrome and Mammary Cancer in 2004.

Whilst I had my Dobes, my sons kept Whippets as they were too young (5 & 7) to handle Dobes in Junior Handling - although Ross did a few times and always won with a real gentle brown dog I had. I fell in love with the Whippet during this time - they were great Dobe exercisers! At the end of 1998, Honey, Kenzed Magistrates Perk, arrived as a pet and a companion to Hannah.Honey was mated to Ch Nev Quality Quire at Loroli in an attempt to produce show quality, but obviously did not work!
In 1996 my back problem became much worse and a consultant said it was likely that I would be in a wheelchair within 5 years ( I'm still fighting this!) so big dogs were no longer for me. In 2002 I replied to a Dog Worldadvert and bought Sophie, Acornlodge Karlotta over Roedeane. I had loads of fun with her and reasonable success and met fellow whippeteers. She was mated to Dumbriton Special Edition of Hillsdown and produced a litter of 8 out of which I kept a dog, Roedeane First Knight, and a bitch, Roedeane Runaway Bride, Holly.
Later in 2002 I bought Sophie's half sister Ellie, Acornlodge Khallista over Roedeane. Ellie only attends shows  now to have a run in the fields that we always find either on the showground or on the way home!
March 2003 saw the addition of Sindy, Loroli Lullaby over Roedeane. Her breeder was giving up and let me have her. In 2004 she had a litter by Birkonbrae O' Boy of Hillsdown out of which I kept Chloe, Roedeane Love Actually. Despite showing 3 times, winning one and placed at the others, Chloe decided NOT to show. I am pleased to say that after working with her on this problem she has now made a return to the show ring.
February 26th 2005 saw the arrival of my 'honorary' whippet Lizzy the Italian Greyhound.
in 2006 health problems prevented my attendance at a lot of shows, and I used the 'free time' to re-evaluate the bloodlines I have used and where I want to be. Two new additions in Dec 2006 see a return to Nevedith breeding which I started with
